General terms and conditions – Camping site “Aan de Diek”
| Reservation If you wish to make a reservation, we will hold a (preferred) spot for you. Some of you specify a preferred spot. Please note: We cannot guarantee that you will be assigned this preferred spot, but we will do our best to take your wishes into account. A reservation must always be made or confirmed in writing or by email. A stay can last a maximum of 3 consecutive weeks. For a reservation, we require an advance payment (reservation fee). This advance payment is usually 50% of the accommodation costs for the reserved period, with a minimum of 1 night’s rate. This advance payment will be deducted from the final bill for your stay. Without payment of the reservation fee, your reservation is not final, and you cannot claim this reservation. Campsite Arrival possible from 2:00 PM until 7:30 PM at the latest / Departure before 11:00 AM. Early check-in is possible for a fee. Earliest from 11:30 AM and if the pitch is not reserved. Late check-out is also possible until 1:30 PM for a fee. This can only be arranged last minute (during your stay) and if the pitch is not reserved. (see rate overview) You can enter and/or leave the campsite parking lot until 10:00 PM at the latest and after 8:00 AM. You can access the campsite pitch until 8:00 PM at the latest. If you are not at your pitch and tables, chairs, drying racks, or other items obstruct other guests from accessing their pitches, the manager is allowed to move them. Cars and Parking On the site, driving is at walking speed. Your car may only be temporarily parked at your own campsite upon arrival and departure for loading and unloading purposes. At all other times, the car can be parked in the general parking area. Motorhomes do not have a dedicated parking space; this can be booked additionally. There are 2 charging stations for cars in the general parking area. You can charge your electric vehicle here for a fee. For clarity, we would like to mention that it is prohibited to plug your electric vehicle into the electrical outlet at a campsite. If we find that this has been done, you will be charged a fine of €100, which must be paid immediately. Visitors Visitors are very welcome at the campsite. We kindly ask that you inform us in advance and request a fee per person per day. Guests staying overnight should also be reported in advance. Visitors must always report at the entrance of the campsite. Visitors must always park at the front near the entrance of the campsite. If your visitors want to use our showers, we ask for an additional €2.50 per shower visit per person. Pets A maximum of 2 pets are allowed per campsite. You pay a fee per pet, per day. Your pet must not cause (noise) nuisance and must always be on a leash. Our sanitary unit and public areas are pet-free. You can walk your dog outside the campsite and are expected to clean up any accidents immediately. Do not leave your pet alone in a sweltering caravan. If you do, we feel obliged to inform the police, and there is a risk that your caravan will be broken into to rescue your pet. Campsite setup Keep at least 1 meter away from electrical outlets and our shrubs and trees. Lay cables in a way that they are not damaged by mowing. Digging trenches and trimming plants is not allowed. To keep the campsite green, it is not allowed to use plastic underlay/weed barrier cloth. Preferably use nothing at all or, if necessary, breathable materials such as a perforated cloth. In wet weather, you must follow the caretaker’s instructions and avoid driving your car/vehicle on the grass unnecessarily. A canopy or awning may be attached to the caravan, but not both. Party tents are not allowed. Internet/WIFI You can use free WIFI throughout the campsite. Environment and energy saving We try to be as economical as possible with water and energy consumption, and we also separate our waste. Would you like to help us with this? You can do so by not leaving the air conditioning/heating and lights on unnecessarily and by being mindful of your water use. Dispose of your waste separately in the designated bins on the site. Large waste items, such as gardenchairs, barbecues, etc., should be taken home with you. For personal use of the air conditioning and/or electric heater, we charge €12 per day. We trust that you will inform us of this. This way, we can keep energy prices affordable for everyone. Sanitary building The sanitary building consists of 7 bathrooms, each equipped with a toilet, sink, and shower. Use of the sanitary unit is included in the price during your stay. Every day, we ensure that the sanitary building is clean and tidy. Would you like to help us keep it tidy, also for those who come after you? Dishes and Wastewater For washing up, there are 8 sinks with hot and cold water available at the sanitary building. Usage is free, and we ask everyone to leave the spaces tidy and clean for the next user. There is a separate sink for emptying the toilet cassette. You can also dispose of grey water on the site. BBQ or Fire Pit A BBQ or fire pit is allowed, provided your nearby neighbors are not affected by smoke and only when you place paving stones under your fire pit or BBQ. Paving stones are provided by us for this purpose. Ash from your own fire pit/BBQ should not be disposed of with regular waste, but can be placed in the ash bin at the sanitary building. Washing Machine/Dryer For camping guests, a washing machine and dryer are available for a fee (see the Rates overview). Cancellation Policy If you wish to cancel your reservation, you will be charged a cancellation fee depending on the number of days before the booked arrival date. These costs will be deducted from your deposit or additionally charged. In case of early departure (for example due to bad weather, illness, etc.), no refund will be given. You are required to pay for your entire booking/reservation period. Depending on the reason for cancellation or early departure, you may be able to claim reimbursement through your own cancellation/travel insurance.
